This wouldn't be a world war, it would be confined in the Middle East area so it would involve the whole world. Israel has nuclear weapons unlike Iran, so i don't think Iran would be stupid enough to try their luck. Also Israel is the only Middle Eastern country that actually has the technology to win the war. And i'm very sure the UN will be useless as always and countries will just keep whining about how wrong this is, and expect all things in the world to be solved peacefully when everyone should know War is sometimes needed in order to actually fix problems.

I think Israel won't stop this time until Hezbollah is history. The attack will be focused on southern Lebanon solely. Syria and Iran won't take any aggressive actions because they don't have the will nor the military power to do so. Beside the US will never allow it. So the end result will be : a Hezbollah free Lebanon. and that's it.
I believe ww3 won't start in the middle east. I'd rather think the first spark will start somewhere in Asia. North Koreans will probably take an aggressive action that the USA will respond to in a way that's gonna irritate china and here goes ww3.

Exuse me, but I think a more accurate question would be, "How far will Lebanon go in ITS war."
Read the news....Iran and Syia are fully supportive of any war against Israel. By supportive, I mean they are supplying money and weapons. In fact, they may be behind Lebanon's instigation of ITS war against Israel.
If you recall the goal of Hezbollah, Iran and Syria is to wipe Israel and its people off the map.

sucked in?? dang! Iran and Syria started it and have pushed against Isreal 58 years... God's chosen people put up with it till they couldn't any longer allow the evil trespasses against it's people.. Now they are fighting back you forget everything excpet that??? This is just a regional conflict, not ww3. It is partly our fault though; we didnt take care of the problem a long time ago like we should have..and we continue to buy petrolium from them, instead of drilling our own, conserving well, generating alternate fuels, and energy. like nukes, wind, hydro, solar,hydrogen, etc
