A fever blister and a cold sore are the same thing, oral herpes. They came to be called this because the virus rests dormant in your nervous system and things like cold or exposure to too much sun can reactive it. I have heard abreva is the best thing to use and you can pick it up in the drug store.

fever blisters and cold sores are one and the same, they are caused by a contagious virus called herpes simplex (type 1) it is very contagious when fever blister are present and is spread usually by kissing but can also be spread by rubbing the blister and touching another person. you basically just have to get an ointment that numbs the blister, there is no cure for fever blisters.

They are the same and caused by the Herpes Simplex virus. I got them all the time when I was a kid. Ask your pharmacist to recommend a product. They have many good ones. Also, I've never been bothered with them since I became an adult.

Herpes are cold sores. They live in your nerve paths. Having a fever can trigger the outbreak, but so can sunburn. Fever is just one trigger. Even too high and acid diet can do it, anything that stresses your body.

I don't know, but if you chew your bottom lip like I did, then you can stop a cold sore by stopping biting your lower lip.
