If you mean the faeries that are in barbie commercials then no. But if you mean the fae of old, then that is a question of whether or not you believe the evidence. A few years back coal miners found a tiny flint toolbox that carbon dated back to when dinosaurs roamed the earth. It was impossible to put it there as a hoax. Archeolgists have also uncovered tiny crescent shaped knives that dated back to about the same time. Obviously dinos didn't stab each other. There have been thousands of poeple that have seen moderen day fae. But some of them are too afraid to come forth because of critisism and others think that they must have been seeing things. But do you really think that all of the legends of the fae were spawned from nothing? There must have been something to inspire them.

First of all, for all of you retards who don't know spelling your own darned selves, "faerie" is the olde English spelling of the word, and if you don't like it, you can go and fornicate yourselves with red-hot pokers!
Secondly, yes, faeries definitely exist. The faerie realm is constantly in action, and in these pivotal days for the human race, they are taking an evermore constant role in our lives. Unfortunately, our own selfishness and stupidity has driven them into a smaller and smaller role, and the more they work, it seems that the less they can accomplish.
Note: Many faeries have been viewed as angels over the ages, as "angels" are often used simply as a generic term for all the beings of light.

I saw a show on the history channel this morning about the girls from Cottingly England who made it up and had the pictures to prove it. They convinced a lot of people they were real. The photos were declared genuine by experts. It wasn't untll the last surviving girl sixty or so years later said it was a hoax and told them how they did it. The faeries were drawn on paper then cut out and glued to long hatpins that stuck in the ground. They seemed to be flying in the pidtures. The girls would be thrilled to know that people still believe in them.
I bet there's people out there that believe in Freddy Kruger and Jason.

Yes. They are mostly the spirits of certain places, like streams, rivers, wells, hills, caves, and such. If you look into the ancient Irish legends of the Tuatha De Dannan, you will find out about the more human-like ones that were once adored like gods. There are actually several modern theories concerning them. One theory is that they are people who live on Earth, but in another dimension. They can see us but we cannot, generally, see them. Some claim that the 'aliens' of UFO fame are actually the same faeries of olde, but have had a technological revolution and might be worried about our polluting activities. Another theory is that the stories about faeries is actually UFO and alien sightings that were missinterpreted. The stories about the Tuatha De Dannan could be construed in such a way. The Tuatha, or People of Dana, arrived on Ireland on the first day of May, which is a pagan holy day, in a great cloud of fog. They did battle with the people who were already in Ireland, the Fir Bolg. The Fir Bolg were pretty darn evil. They ruled over the other people of the island, raided their crops and livestock on whim, and demanded tribute in the form of every child born to each village in a year must be given to them. The stories say that they often ate these children or put them in pits with fighting dogs. Anyways, the term 'faerie' is used to describe the Tuatha De Dannan, but is more accurate in describing sentient beings who are not of a physical nature, including nature spirits. The lore of Fae is crowded with things that may not be related. There are also stories of tiny people, with physical bodies, who have been seen or captured by people. Over in Brittany, in France, the same stories are told, but the beings are said to be ghosts. There are also stories in other parts of the world about beings who aren't entirely physical who either represent a certain place or animals. There are the fox people in Japanese lore, the serpent people in Indian lore, and just about every ancient tradition holds that spirits very similar to the Fae exist and spend their time in certain locations. Several scholars wrote books in the Middle Ages about this subject, when it was a serious academic question. 'the Secret Commonwealth' is one.

John A. Keel takes an interesting point of view on this. I suggest you read his book "Mothman". Yes, there was a movie made about his book starring Richard Gere. The book is non-fiction and records the events leading up (and including) to the collapse of the Silver Bridge in 1967. It's very well written, and takes on a very interesting and unique point of view.

Yes they do and rainbows are there to keep them in their world and not ours. If you ever find the gold at the end of the rainbow leave it as that is the price we pay to keep the little buggers in their half of the world.
They are not all cute and cuddly you know. Think about it why would the tooth fairy want your old teeth if she wasnt up to no good with them???
Makes you think doesnt it.?
And dont even get me started on goblins!

Faerie is the literary spelling for those of you jumping the questioner.
I like to believe that they do......doesn't hurt a thing to feel that maybe they did exist at one time and maybe still do. somewhere.

There have been many reports over the years from people who claim to have seen them, i haven't, but i don't if they are wishful thinking or all just in the mind. If you think about we always hear people saying, no they don't, but the truth is there is no proof to say either way.
Some see spirits and think that they are fairies, and they are real
