That may not be exact but it's real close. Mom is played by Merrill Streep and son is Leonardo DeCaprio (I think). He's a teen and they have a rocky relationship because his father (not in the picture) abused him when he was young and mom ran dad off even though she loved him. Son has hero complex for dad and doesn't remember about the abuse.
It's a great movie... I highly recommend it.
