The way I hear it they're not one religion or another. Their Believe album cover is actually several religious symbols put together to form one.

Bands who appear to be satanic are actually just trying to trigger kids who are mad at their parents, so they're not actually satanic. If kids are mad at their parents, they'll buy a "satanic" band's album to get back at their folks. So all the pentagrams and dark lyrics, it's all marketing.
