In my opinion, Afridi should open the innings. He is being wasted by Pakistan team by bringing him lower down to 9 th down.. In ur opinion, what is his ideal position in ODI? and in tests?

He should do that depending on the situation. As when Pakistanbats first then he should come earlier to gain the upperhand over the oposition.

Getting the upper hand in a match is very much boosting thing. So he should go up the order if they bat first. He can also play way down the order if the situation demands. In the first match's innings, he came at the end of the innings. This is because the Pakistanis are batting against a big score such as 528 I think so in that situation a wicket loss is very much confidance dropping thing so he didnot come up the order. The other point is that the other batsmen can think that a good batsman is still there for their team and they can play their own game with out pressure.

Just I assumed that this is the reason behind it and it should be decided for the position of Afridi after the toss only and according to the situation.

Hope you understand this.

But for night watchman, he would have been on eight position but that is also still not good enough. For tests, sixth position would be ideal. For one day, he could even open the innings.

In ODI's, when playing in sub continent he should open the innings and when playing in Australia or S.A he should come at No.6 and in test matches he should be batting at no.6 whether playing in sub continent or away..

Test Matches either 5th down or 6th down is ok,
In ODI when he should be 1down unless run chase is bellow 200 if so he could be at 5th or 6th down.

it s a waste to send him at 9th down.he is much better than that

No! he should open.
he is the key player, if he scores fast i the first ten overs, the pakistani team would have more chances to win.
