I don't believe that homosexuality is right, but it seems to me that more people would give you guys less grief if you at least said "Hey! Those transvestites and transgendered folks are a little strange". Am I right or wrong?

KD, you stated that "it" is to be challenged sexually. Certainly, nature or, heaven forbid, God would not give you a trait which challenges you. Perhaps, this challenge of which you speak is between right and wrong. The flesh is strong, no doubt. Just saying that any challenge I ever saw was between at least 2 opposing sides. And to whomever said I hate people, you couldn't be further from the truth. Just to state that I do not think that a behavior is right, does not also infer that I have the one who behaves in that fashion.

Why? It is to be challenged sexually. What is the difference.....Being Gay, Lesbian, Transgendered, Transsexual, Drag Queen. In this world people seem to forget being human comes in different colors and sexual orientation. It is to express yourself.......to support each other in all the differences....
It is society that makes it the challenging part. Being different in any way and especially when it comes to sex...........So, to change society would also be a very challenging task. Due to the religion and all it's strict rules.........Maybe if society would bend a little and open up to diversity. A little creativity....things are not black & white.....if it where then this what be a boring place to be...

The whole idea is that transexuals, transvestites, and transgendered people are discriminated based on differences and confusions of the sexual realm as well. Really, it's something that should not matter to those who are not involved. Why should an individual born anatomically male and decides to live as the woman that they have always been in their mind for their whole life; why should that affect you? Unless you are sleeping with that individual it shouldn't matter two cents who they are and that they love in a way different even if at times confusing. I see the issue of transgender as body chemistry. Bodies are not always born perfect at least not befitting our binary gender system. Yes, hermaphrodites are still born extremely rare yes; but more common is a condition of intersexed children. They are what is considered not full hermaphrodites; as they could essentially be changed to fit as either a boy or girl depending on a doctor's decision. Usually in today's hospital doctors opt to make the child a girl with the saying "It's easier to make a whole than build a pole." Doctors still ARE NOT required to tell parents of the operation but some follow their personal morals and ethics and let parents in on it or make them aware of it. Usually it is in the birth records though. This is much more common than many realize hitting about 1 in every 10,000 births and I can only think of one famous one at the moment cause my brain's fried. Jamie Lee Curtis.

Gay people are about equality. Personally I think that transvestites and transgendered people are strange. I dont understand it the same way that a straight person does not understand homosexuality. But I do look at them as equals, and if they want to jump in the GLBT club, it will make us that much more powerful. I also dont like bisexuals. I think they are gay people that havent dealt with their issues enough to come out of the closet. At the same time, they have a right to do what they do and are no different than gay people. I also think the GLBTQ acronym is awful, but if it gets us that much more supporters for equality then Im all for it.

Hey there. I just put two comments in the Best Answer section of your "driving" question. Didn't know if you'd see them.
I think it is in bad taste for anyone of ANY sexual persuasion to flaunt or display or talk about or in any other way require not- interested parties to have their faces filled with another's sexuality. Modesty is courtesy, and that's a rule that believe it or not, in the closet homosexuals adhere to the same way heterosexuals should.

Homosexual people should & do distance themselves from any one they choose! I don't know where you are or how you grew up, but if you haven't partied with a tranny, then you haven't lived! These guys are more beautiful than real women & as a woman I can appreciate all the hard work that goes into their "facade". It ain't all about sex, ya know! It's about illusion! You aren't right or wrong, just misguided & possibly a bit jaded on the issue!

You might be right, at least initially. But those of us who stand at the edge of society are better off in the long run if we stick together. It's not who is strange, odd, or 'queer' so much as it is whether the majority in society has the right to oppress sexual minorities. They don't, and we need to fight for what is right. As soon as we adopt an "every man (or woman) for himself" mentality, we lost the real battle, that is the battle for respect and equal rights for all.

You are as wrong as you can be. First of all, nobody asked you if you think Homosexuality is right...personally, I dont' care what you think, and that is a lousy way to start a sentence. Perhaps you are more than a little strange if you think people wouldn't take issue with your pontificating.

I think you are a little backwards with your question. Not all transvestites are gay, but the public thinks they are. You have proven that. Dressing up or getting tit.s without being gay is totally fine in my book. Nothing wrong with being gay either, will one ever be with you? So why worry? I am an atheist, but still put up with all the Bible fiction being promoted as fact. Tolerance needs to be a 2-way street!!!

I think you hate yourself for being so turned on by the GLBT section of Yahoo answers. Come out from the closet and may-be you will not be so depressed.

how sad. Trying to divide up those you dislike from those you hate?
I personally have never understood transgender on a level in my heart, but I understand it intellectually -- and I certainly wouldn't cut those poor dear ones loose for such as you.
