For men and women: the island part would be with someone that you were attracted to that isn't your mom, dad, sister, brother, etc. (In less you wanted them to be your "partner")
I'm not trying to be gross, I just want to ask a question. This is just a poll to see how a man, or a women is different. Nothing more, or less. So just answer the question!

I'd take the island, every time. I hate living in a city. And as to one man versus many, the many idea holds no interest for me. I like to get to know a man. And like My Steve used to say, sex is all very well for an hour or two, but what do you do the rest of the time?

Love to travel and stay in cities, no way am i going to some isolated island (have you seen 'Survivor?, that life is hard) so bring on the condoms, least i can continue to live in a high tech civilized world and be an active part of life.
P.S. this is one of the better thoughtful questions.
Likely, many who chose the island haven't considered the unknown variables, imagine no modernization and loss of friends and family (including your children). Chosing the city keeps you in touch with all that we have come to know and like.

It depends on who the woman is, obviously. If it was a person I could make a fulfilling emtional and interllectual connection with, I'd take the island. Casual sex is fine, but great sex only comes from making love with someone you know and trust totally and without reservation, someone who knows every flaw you have and loves you because of them. And, at the end of the day, sex is only one thing and you need much, much more from a partner in order to be happy. If it was someone who would just end up annoying me (i.e. anyone else). . . actually, I'd still take the island. I'd just kill her and eat her. I hate big cities. I'd rather be by myself.

islands are cool because they're isolated and no one can watch you, but there's always a threat of floods and storms and stuff. plus, if it's uncharted, no one can come help you if you run out of food or something. you'd have to eat the one girl you're with.
in the city, you never know who can put a hidden camera in your room, and if you sleep around with a lot of women, sooner or later someone's going to get an STD.

well since the point of this question seems to be around sex, and that's all you are using that partner for... than i would say one man on an island. its difficult to have GOOD sex the first time .. you usually are better off "molding" the person to your likes and this will make for better sex in the end..
plus guys can be annoying, at least this way i would only have to deal with one...!!

One man thank you. No STD's to worry about. If you were the only woman with all those men in the city you would never be safe. On the island he wouldn't worry about you cheating. AND I love the beach and fresh seafood. m

If I had to choose, I would stay on an uncharted island with only one woman.
My only requirement for this woman is that I would be in love with and married to her.
From there we would be able to build a family, with no distractions, no racism, nearly no prejudice. We could build places to worship God. I could go on and on but you catch my drift, no?

Personally, I would prefer to have multiple partners within the city. My reason being it adds a level of variety and drama. You never know who you're gonna meet in the city. She could be a winner, but could just as easily be a psycho chick.
