anyone who asks you to do something that is against the rules does not care about you, they are being selfish.
if your client "loves" you, but wants someone else because you won't break the rules, that is not love & you'd better redefine the word.
if a client asks you to break the rules, report it to your supervisor before they talk to your boss. ask your boss to assign you to others who will not jeopardize you or your job. these types of people don't care if you get in trouble. only that you do what they say, regardless of consequences. stay away from them. they are not interested in what's good for you.
surely your boss understands that a good worker is not a lazy worker. he sees that there is a conflict of definition there. explain to your boss what happened before the problem-maker does. he's probably had experience with trouble makers before. let him know that they are interfering with your duties by asking you to do others. let him straighten it out with them. he needs to remind them that they are not allowed to get you in trouble. your standard response to these situations should be, "Please ask my supervisor about that." or "if you'll get my boss's permission.".
don't volunteer to find out about the situation yourself. don't do their dirty work. let him remind them that its against the rules. people who insist on working against the rules & getting employees in trouble can get kicked out. let them deal with that.
forget about spreading God's word at work. that why He's got churches. He doesn't need that kind of help. (and He won't hold it against you, either.)
if a client asks you to do something wrong, ask them why is it that they don't care about you? are they going to take care of you if you get fired? don't think so.
do your job & nothing more. that's all you're expected to do by your superiors. if anything, they came up with all those rules to make it easier for their employees to say, "No." to people who ask them to do improper actions. let them ask your boss to do it or have your boss tell you to do it. that way, you are safe. if your client won't ask or your boss won't tell you, you're covered.
you don't owe anyone anything that's not on your job description.
be a professional. if anyone asks you to be anything other than that, you have a legal obligation to say, "No."
people who will get you in trouble don't really care about you, just what they want. and they don't care about the consequences you will face. very selfish people. give them lots of distance, even if you see them everyday. they are not your friends.
not only that, if you begin to do things like that for them, its only the beginning of what they will ask for. it only gets worse. and, the more you do for those types, the less you are appreciated. do not open that Pandora's box. good luck.

Dementia and jealousy. They hate you because you're young enough to work and their life is coming to an end. Most of them are at least a little wacko. I did that kind of work for years and it's grueling. Most of the elderly are not sweet old ladies but deceitful,
demanding bitches and the men are worse. For your own sake, stay as far away as possible. Refuse jobs working around seniors and if you can't, find work in a different line. Ask me how I know? I'm a senior. Think they're awful to work for? You should have to live with them!!!!!!
