It was a mystery as to why one of my friends Koi kept hurling itself out of the pond onto dry land – we assume it was ill... yet no visible symptoms were showing.

A number of problems can create this.

1. It is breeding.

2. It is suffering from some kind of water chemistry imbalance (pH, ammonia and etc.)

3. It has parasites (ich, flukes) and is trying to get them off by rolling around in the Earth.

in case you rather do no longer choose yoyur cat drowsing on the mattress, I propose utilizing a twig bottle with water, it definately won't like that and you gets a clean message for the time of. different than that i might propose remaining your door at evening so the cat won't have the ability to get in

is it just the one koi doing this? I had a silver dollar that did that and i found out my water was all messed up PH and ammonia.

either the fish is starving or the ph of the water is so bad the fish cant take it
