Are they good or bad? I've only heard about them, and I'm confused yet... If they are good people- why?

after 3 days, the answers are so different, so I realy am confused. Well, somebody has right, my qestion is so general, but, usually, when you ask "Is the winter good or bad" the answer is "yes" or "no". I'm trying to read something, but I'm afraid maybe there I'll find someone who does not like the masons and for this reason, has a badthing to say about them. On other hand, I've never find something written from masons themself, so I don't know what they says for themself....

I am a Freemason of an esoteric Order, American Co-Masons. We admit both women and men, ages 21 and older, of good character, of all races, who believe in a Supreme Being, who wish to improve themselves and the world. Our charter comes not from England, as most of the Lodges in America do, but from the French. I will speak to you from what I myself know. You may draw your own conclusions, seek to learn more, or not.

In our Order we seek to perfect ourselves in our dealings with the world. We are a system of morality. We differ from religion because we make no claim to know what happens on the other side of the veil of death. We only know that things on earth get better when people come to deal with each other on the Level and on the Square. We build trust in each other. It is a slow process.

We learn by applying the lessons of symbols. For our symbols we take as object lessons the tools of real building stone masons. Symbols always mean more than the words describing them. When one asks what a particular symbol means, the question is redirected: "What does it mean to *you*?"

Some say we came from the ancient builders, some say we came from the Knights Templar, still others say we came from the Ancient Mystery Schools. In any case, we in American Co-Masonry strive to work upon the only person we can change: ourselves. As the ancient alchemists worked to change lead into gold, we seek to change the lead in our hearts into metaphysical gold.

We are also a charitable organization. I will not list those who have benefitted, but during any emergency Freemasons (our Order and others) are there. In the traditional male only Freemasonic Shriners, the burn and spinal cord damage hospitals for children the patients are there for free. Certainly that counts for something.

No one is invited to become a Mason. You have to ask. If you ask because you seek business connections or certain favors, you will probably be disappointed or turned down. If you ask (we call it "knocking") because you wish to improve yourself and the world, I can think of no better organization than that of Freemasonry.

If I or any other Order Freemason can be of help in information, be assured we will give you what we can. We do not recruit, you will not be bothered. Likewise, if my daughter were in trouble in a big city, I have told her to seek out a Lodge no matter what the Order.

Good? Bad? You decide. We are only humans. We do the best we can. Peace.

Thank you for asking. I have been waiting to discuss this with you for a long time. You are going to have to do some research into the illuminati and conspiracy theory to get closer to the real truth. However, not all theroies are correct either. somewhere between extreme conspiracy theory and the meaningless pitiful explanations of old fogie masons there is the truth and its probably is not a "good" truth. Remember most masons arent high enough degree to be allowed to know what is really going on there, so dont ask some old mason guy. he either just wont or wont be able to give you a truthful answer. I accidentaly came upon some very suspicious mason historyand I have no choice but to conclude that its probable that the masons are and always have been up to no good. they do, however have the answers to some very frequently asked questions throughout mans history. the higher up you go, the more answers you get. Trust me onl this. Do the research. there is info out there.

Mason's are a secret society that has deeply rooted it's pagan worship into our government. It's also interconnected with various other groups such as Skull and Bones, and the bohemian grove. Anyways almost every government organization from The president's Cabneint down to your county police dept has mason ties. Washinton DC has masonic symbols thoughout the city and same with our treasury notes. Masons are bad news.

I don't even really know about masons. There is a huge mason place near my moms, but I don't know why they need a building dedicated to "Masons". It looks like a small college. I always wondered what it was all about.

my experience is pretty limited but:

- they are normal people and can be ássholes or very nice, just like any other normal people

- they are people who need something to do on a wednesday night

- they like the "insider" nature of it, and get a buzz out of that

- all the rest of it is just bullshit that they accept or go along with because it seems to fit their psychology, not because it's in any way "true".

Try reading Robert Antwan Wilson's "Illuminatus Trilogy" to answer your questions.

I had a friend who was a member. He said there were really no secrets. Reminds me of a Simpsons episode.

We need someone to lay bricks and blocks and build stone walls I guess. Plumbers and carpenters are lousy at it.
