Undertaker is a legend in the business. He doesn't show up as much now because his career is winding down and he is getting ready to retire. But I think fans love him so much cuz of everything he's done. He's been around almost 15 years, all of them in WWE, he's undefeated at wrestlemania. He's left a legacy that will be hard to duplicate.

I have been a fan of the Undertaker ever since he was Mean Mark Callous in WCW back in the late 80s-early 90s. The reason he is held in such regard is when he came to the WWF in 1991, no one had ever seen anyone like him. He was a big man who was very agile, and who was great with a mic given his character. Over the years, he has feuded with just about everyone in the promotion, and other than his winning streak in wrestlemania,(which I am sure is the way Vince says thanks to him for carrying the promotion for so long), he has done whatever the company asks. He got his orbital bone on his eye broken, and instead of hanging it up, he just redid his look and came back. This is the wrestling equivalent of what Ronnie Lott did for the 49ers years back. (For those of you who don't know, Lott hurt his finger so bad that it needed surgery that would cause him to miss some time. So that he would not miss any games, he had the finger partially amputated and didn't miss any time.) The Undertaker has given his all unlike the Prima Donna Hulk Hogan, and stayed loyal to the WWE even though other promotions both here and abroad have offered him a ton of money. (He is the highest paid performer in the WWE now, though). He respects the company, his job and the fans, so he deserves everything he has.

I am gonna say this respectfully The undertaker is the best wrestler in the wwe and on of the longest employees he has worked in the company for 16 years not counting before when he was mean mark that would mean he has been in the company for 24 years and he bring the excitement to the ring that no other wrestlers have he has the total package and Kurt Angle said that the whole locker room Raw ECW Smackdown all of them think of undertaker as the best ever his size strength agility speed he has the total package even his look and they also think of him as their father and that's why they like to pick fights with him so they could show him what they can do and plus not many wrestlers can walk on a tight rope and he can jump sop high in the air in my opinion he is the greatest wrestler ever and it doesn't matter is he doesn't show up that's not his problem its the if you recall at the Royal rumble when he fought against yokozuna and when he lost and came back he said and warned every body of his return but in reality he had a back injury that was getting worse.

i hope this helped ya

Mainly because he's a legend and he knows how to put on a show. He's been in the business for almost 30 years and now he's getting old. He has a wife and daughter to take time with. He only comes to the events he is needed for. He'll retire soon and be a hall of famer a year or two after that. He is the best and everyone likes him because of his persona. I think after this wrestlemania he'll retire 14-0. Long live the deadman!!

Who gives a damn when he shows up? He's still a legend in this business, and the one constant in the Federation since 1990 not named McMahon or Michaels. The gimmick and entrance still captivates and fascinates fans after all these years, and the people know he's going to give it his all each time he's out there. He's earned the right to show up whenever he wants, dressed however he wants and still get the respect of the fans; he earned that years ago. And for the record, you try wrestling for as long as he has and try to wrestle a full schedule. And now with an artificial hip, which makes it even tougher because he doesn't have the same range of motion he had before. Your fat, out of shape, 400 pound *** would probably quit after 5 minutes. Keep your damn mouth shut, beer bellied sharecropper!

im the biggest taker fan out there, and the reason he doesnt show up as much any more is because of the beatings his body has taken over the past fourteen years in the wwe. he needs a hip replacement and his elbow aint so good either. its not like he shows up when he wants to, his body just cant take as much any more. and he has been in dark matches so its not like hes at home on vacation. he is the biggest star in the business and the greatest legend. hes respected by the entire locker room and admired as well. maybe you should take a look back at everything hes done in his career, and then u will find out why they say he is the conscience of the wwe, and why they also say he has carried the company his entire career.

Granted now he only shows up for main events. He is one of the oldest WWE wrestlers today. In the early years he was one of the main headliners. Vince has put him through alot over the years, more crap than any other wrestler.

He's been wrestling for so long he probably needs more time to get physically ready for matches. I think he has so much respect that he can get away with not being a great in the ring anymore. Also, everything he does outside the ring is so theatrical that people don't even care how he wrestles. In other words, he's got nothing else to prove.

He has a legacy. He's been there since the old days of Hulkamania, the days of the Hart Foundation and when DX was starting. Throughout it all, he's been a main-event player and had good matches.

Because he can not show up at every minute like John Cena because of his persona. He must keep the fans shrouded in mystery about himself.
