2 soldiers were abducted and Israel bombed Lebenon and killed 8 civilians.
What are the chances RCMP will fly over to the Israeli PM and arrest him and charge him with murder?
Why not? Are 2 Israeli soilders worth 8 Canadian lives?

The 8 Canadians should not have BEEN there. It is known that Lebanon hosts terrorists. It is a shame that they died, but, it was their choice not to leave when the warning went out, for all civilians to leave the Lebanon area.
By your logic then incoent by standers killed by drug dealers "shouldn't have been there" so it wasn't a murder????
Wow I don't want you in power

How can you compare drug dealers with war between competent soverign governments?
The RCMP has no legal authority there. They have no power to arrest anyone.
Of course they have no power to do that . That wasn't the point at all.
If you acidently shoot someone it's still murder isn't it? Israel is bombing killing and wounding and your telling me thats okay? Yes it's an accurate description. If you kill someone that was not imediately threatening your life we ussually call it murder

They should be acountable for thier actions . If they respected the world as a comunity they would have declared an ultimatum and given people a chance to leave they didn't because they just don't care - they are going to have revenge at any cost- no wonder they get along with the US

War is war. There will always be collateral damage. I doubt seriously that the RCMP will fly over to Israel and arrest the PM there.
Your logic assumes that any action tied to a Government, no matter how small, makes that governement responsible. Let's get real folks; there is some measure of responsibility that must be accepted by both the individual and government. Are you going to fly to Europe any time soon? If you do, and a bomb explodes in the terminal, who's held responsible? The government or the terrorist? If you can't accept the level of risk, you don't go....plain and simple. If do go you make contingencies.
I think someone should have been a bit more alert and done their operational risk management. Or at least made sure their insurance was up to date.

I find many of the responses very "unusual". I really don’t believe that any country will ever charge Israel for murder – simply because the international community has been watching and is continuing to do so while Israel continues to commit genocide.
Did the US charge Israel for murdering Rachel Corrie in cold blood? No – Why – I really don’t know the answer to that one either – but using the logic of some of those answering this question, she shouldn’t have been there too so her death is justified. It doesn’t matter if she was there because she had a cause she believed in.
Well using that very same logic, then the death of the Israelis is also justified, because the Middle East is so full of “bad Arab terrorists” so they might as well “not be there” – same logic.

What justification did these Ultra-Orthodox Jews have to attack Christian tourists in Jerusalem?
“All the civilians killed by the Israelis had been ordered to abandon their homes in the border village by the Israelis themselves a few hours earlier. Leave, they were told by loudspeaker; and leave they did, 20 of them in a convoy of civilian cars. That's when the Israeli jets arrived to bomb them, killing 20 Lebanese, at least nine of them children. The local fire brigade could not put out the fires as they all burned alive in the inferno. Another "terrorist" target had been eliminated.”

Can anyone justify these pictures of the murdered children?

Should these children leave also because Lebanon is harboring “terrorists” who are standing up to Israel’s continued genocide?

No, this isn't murder. This is war. And when you're in war, innocent people get killed.
It's very unfortunate that the Canadian civilians happened to be in Lebanon, because no place is safe there right now. After Hezbollah attacked Haifa (a MAJOR city in Israel), there is nothing holding Israel back. Everyone and everything in Lebanon is a target, and rightfully so.

Don't listen to these extremists, they have no notion of morality. The Israelis have been committing atrocities for many years, but now they are under the spotlight, and the cracks are showing. They will be exposed for what they are - callous barbarians.
The Israelis and most of our media are lying as usual.
But here's the truth people :)
"basically the current stage of what's going on -- there's a lot more -- begins with the Hamas election, back the end of January. Israel and the United States at once announced that they were going to punish the people of Palestine for voting the wrong way in a free election. And the punishment has been severe.
At the same time, it's partly in Gaza, and sort of hidden in a way, but even more extreme in the West Bank, where Olmert announced his annexation program, what’s euphemistically called “convergence” and described here often as a “withdrawal,” but in fact it’s a formalization of the program of annexing the valuable lands, most of the resources, including water, of the West Bank and cantonizing the rest and imprisoning it, since he also announced that Israel would take over the Jordan Valley. Well, that proceeds without extreme violence or nothing much said about it.
Gaza, itself, the latest phase, began on June 24. It was when Israel abducted two Gaza civilians, a doctor and his brother. We don't know their names. You don’t know the names of victims. They were taken to Israel, presumably, and nobody knows their fate. The next day, something happened, which we do know about, a lot. Militants in Gaza, probably Islamic Jihad, abducted an Israeli soldier across the border. That’s Corporal Gilad Shalit. And that's well known; first abduction is not. Then followed the escalation of Israeli attacks on Gaza, which I don’t have to repeat. It’s reported on adequately.
The next stage was Hezbollah's abduction of two Israeli soldiers, they say on the border. Their official reason for this is that they are aiming for prisoner release. There are a few, nobody knows how many. Officially, there are three Lebanese prisoners in Israel. There's allegedly a couple hundred people missing. Who knows where they are?
But the real reason, I think it's generally agreed by analysts, is that -- I’ll read from the Financial Times, which happens to be right in front of me. “The timing and scale of its attack suggest it was partly intended to reduce the pressure on Palestinians by forcing Israel to fight on two fronts simultaneously.” David Hearst, who knows this area well, describes it, I think this morning, as a display of solidarity with suffering people, the clinching impulse."

When the American people stop their government from sending a total of $90 Billion of their taxes to Israel to support their barbaric acts then the fighting will stop.

And also when the American people stop their governments from vetoing any chance of a peaceful settlement, then maybe there will be an agreement.

This is a head's up; a sign that we all have a stake in war. War is not a respecter of persons and is a poor way to resolve differences. these Canadians aren't the first victims nor will they be the last if the World leaders don't say enough and stop the carnage in the middle east. is Israel responsible? Yes, but so are the Arab countries that have fed the flames to keep this conflict alive.

The Hezbollah are responsible for the death of the Canadians not the Israelis. If the Israel were not getting barraged by rockets they wouldn't have returned it. The bombings didn't start until after the rocket attacks started.

Ah they were Hezbollah terrorists from Lebanon that had just arrived on a flight from Canada.
What does that tell you??? They were recalled from their mission to enter the US and kill Americans, back to Beirut to assist in attacks on women and children living in Israel Kibbutz.
Allah Akbar they have their 72 virgins now
