I live with my boyfriend, and we now park my car in the garage, as opposed to the driveway. He says its a big deal that I now park in the garage. I wasnt doing it originally. Why does he think it is such a big deal? He says its a guy thing.

I think it is his way of giving more of himself, admitting you mean more to him without saying the words - like that movie Singles when he gives his girlfriend the garage door opener. You (and your car) will be safer if you are parking in the garage. I think he's fallen hard for you! Congrats!

Its a Space thing,you in his mind have overstepped your boudaries with him.He may like his garage for he can do projects out there,you should be open with him and say "You can move my the Car if you need to work out there"if that doesnt solve the issue I would seriously rethink this relationship.It can only get worse as time goes on.Since you already have a problem with this,can you imagine putting up with this for a lifetime.

Let me ask you: Is he a nit-picker about many things or just this? Some guys are negative by nature and see the proverbial glass half-empty rather than half-full. If he is a positive type, it probably IS just a guy thing and you should honor his space. If he is the type that has problems with people in general, then this is just a manifestation of many problems to come.

the only thing i can think of....the garage is very important to some men because it's where they can work. I like to work on my car and truck in our garage and all my tools and stuff are in there so that may be it???

Tell him that he should get over it. Tell him that if he wants to park his "car" in your "garage," (winkwinknudgenudge) that you should be able to park your car in HIS garage, no questions asked.

Well if u were my girlfriend u could park anywhere u like and I would roll out the red carpet for u. I really don't know why he is acting that way.

hide your car in there so no one can see it. you live there right i would come home un expected one day and see if there is a car in the garage hint hint
