At what period did Micheal Benteen appear with the Goons show?

I have many of their early recordings and he never gets a mention!

Michael Bentine, who served with the intelligence service during the war, helped found the Goons. He left quite early to do his own thing. He was a mathematician and totally barmy. He had his own TV show complete with invisible jumping fleas.

Michael Bentine left the Goon Show in 1952 after the second series.

I'm guessing late sixties, maybe early seventies.
