my child is 2 1/2 and not walking. When I adopted her, she was very sick and needed open heart surgery and bowel reconstructive surgery. Children's Hospital doctors told me last week that I need her in aqua therapy up to 5 times a week to strengthen her hips. I need a pool to do this and a considerable donation.

Not sure where you live, but I assume you have your child in Early Intervention therapy provided by the state. At age 3 your child's therapy become's the responsibility of the school district, but if you can get the EI folks to work with your doctor to get this therapy started, it should be covered by the state. Check with your local birth-to-three center and see what they say...they must have a pool that is used for therapy....you shouldn't need to put one in at home.

Good luck

I understand what you are going through to some extent. My son has Downs as well and is now 4 yrs old, at 4 months old he had to have open heart surgery. He was way behind in his developments, We had a Gov. service that came to us every week and work with him. I hope you are a Church going Christian. If not I urge you to turn your life over to God and ask him to help. God will help you in many ways if you live for him. Churchs well, A good Christian church should be able to help. I would like to help if I can.
