He smells so bad that people taped air fresheners to his locker and he got really upset.How would you deal with this problem, by the way we told him he smells and he gave us a lame answer.And we work around animals all day and we still can smell him, the animals smell better than he does!!!

That is a terrible situation. Since you've already come right out and told him that he smells (in more ways than one) the best course of action is to contact your human resources department leader or senior supervisor. NOT A LETTER! In person. This gentleman might be building a case for harrassment with your tactics and I GUARANTEE you that HR will deal with the problem. You guys can do nothing until he is professionally dealt with. It sux, yes, I know, but it should work.

I remember employees putting deodorant on someone's desk, and I thought that was really mean. Since he's already been approached I don't know what to tell you. Maybe he has a medical condition that makes him smell. I get grossed out by the older women who wear that nasty smelling body powder. If they knew how awful they smell!
