What does it cost, and what is involved in the maintenance of an in-ground pool? I'm guessing a 24ft pool.

it depends on whether you are looking at installing a gunite,which is like concrete,or a vinyl liner.a gunite pool will run you around 25 grand(ouch)a inground vinyl pool at 8ft. by 30ft rectangularwill probably run between 12 - 15 grand.that includes all the ground work,installation,pump,and filter.then you have to factor in the yearly cost of electricity,chemicals,opening ,closing,and maintenance.this estimate may vary with the area you live in.by no means is it cheap.a more reasonable way to go may be an above ground.you can purchase a 24ft round,complete kit with installation for around 6 or 7 thousand.good luck.
