In my opinion it would be a tie between Platoon and the Fisher King. 2 very different movies but both very moving in their own ways. Robin Williams took a wildly difficult role in the Fisher King and made you feel it.

Primal Fear with Richard Gere, Laura Linney, and Edward Norton. This movie was really intense, interesting, has twists and turns and is very well acted. It's an "OH MY GOD" movie - kind of like the movie Signs - something happens at the end that you never see coming.
