go to www.whois.sc/yourclientswebsite.com where "yourclientswebsite.com" is their actual domain, and it will provide you with the nameservers were the site is hosted.

They will look something like ns1.yourclientshost.com and ns2.yourclientshost.com

If you have trouble finding it message me and I'll gladly help you with it

well I would ping the web address and find the IP to start with to show where it is hosted. Secondly I would trace the IP this will show you exactly who is hosting it! once you have the IP address click on http://psacake.com/web/eg.asp it will do a lookup of the IP address in the WHOIS information. it will tell you exactly who is hosting and who the webmaster and contact details are for the domain that is hosted and registered.

Even though they don't know the host, they should still know their sight user name and password, as well as their url. With this information, you can connect through an ftp program and edit anything on the site.
