Yes, but it's not something I could explain in a reply here. Witchcraft is an essential part of my religion; it's intrinsic to how I relate to the world and the divine.
Spells are, in a way, "recipes" to get a certain result. They work with connections that most people don't know about, and they tend to require "psychic energy" to make them effective. Learning to focus that energy is a big part of witch training, and it's why many people get a spell from a website, try it, nothing happens, and they claim "witchcraft is lies." They didn't do the energy-focus part of the spell, possibly because they didn't know about it--a lot of spells are written in shorthand or code, and leave out the parts that most witches already know about.
That's like getting a recipe book, throwing the ingredients in a bowl and not bothering to heat them up, and then saying "this book lies--I tried it, and I didn't get a cake!"

Witchcraft is not real. It is just a lie and many people like to pretend that it is real. There are no magic spells that actually work and there are no witches with any magical powers.
