Tony really is falling apart here!!! It's so darn sad...poor Smoke. Has he lost his fire or is he saving something for last resort?

Obviously, I know Tony's had a win at Daytona...geez people! But SINCE then he hasn't done well.

I'm not questioning my loyalty to Smoke, either. He'll always be the best in my opinion. So don't start thinking that stuff.

Let's look at this year's record. I could list it, but as fans people should know. Except for the times he's been wrecked, and I say he's been wrecked b/c his only problem this year has been being in the wrong place at the wrong time. There has been nothing he could do to prevent his accidents. The only mishap was the gas issue, that was a pure ooops. Nothing you can do it about now. Back to my point. Look at his finishes in which he did finish the race and wasn't taken out?? Not too shabby, eh??
So to answer your question. UHMMM HELL NO!! Smoke ain't even close to losing his fire. He's still a hell of a driver, and can still whoop **** out on that track. Look at how strong he was when he did run in the race today?? Now, if we could just find that hidden magnet that attracts him to other cars we'd be all set. It's bad luck. Plain and simple, well that and other jerkoffs who aren't to sure how to drive the car. There is only so much you can do as a driver, and a team in Nascar the rest is pure luck and everything that goes with it. It sucks. It really really stinks. Honestly, I can't even begin to tell you how many things have been chucked across my living room this year during Smoke's runs.. but I still believe in him as a driver, and know he'll bounce back. I get really really flustered when people start questioning drivers who they root for when they run into some bad luck. My theory is you're either a fan or your not. You don't get to jump off and on the bandwagon when there is good runs. It's like today's race. How many people who were up cheering when Kyle Busch won but probably booed him during introductions?? That one is beyond me. To me you don't only get to like a driver when he runs good, but hey, to each his own. You win some, you lose some and it's that simple. If someone were able to win all the races the sport would lose it's excitement. All of those who have been at the top have also spent some time at the bottom and in the middle. So yeah, sure, Tony isn't having a GREAT year, but he's also not having a horrible year. He's just having bad luck..but he still drives the hell out of that car every week.
Been a Tony fan since the beginning and will be till the end. He's still got the drive, the skill, and I'm sure this bad luck has only made him hungrier for that sucess and he'll get it...not a doubt in my mind!!!

he has had bad luck. plain and simple. why would he climb the fence after his win at Daytona this July if he lost his fire. he said last weekend that he wanted more wins.
tony will be competitive until he retires. he is just having bad luck. being in the wrong place and the wrong time has nothing to do with his desire to win.
by the way, there has only been two races since daytona. two races are not enough to say he has lost something. just b/c he hasn't exeperienced the kind of turn around he did last year after the 400 doesn't mean anything just yet. just wait and see. it is too early to get concerned.

No Tony is just as passionate and driven as he always was. He has a bad streak of luck is all and he will come back harder cuz that team thrives in adversity!
GO SMOKE
I would also like to add that if Tony never wins another race in his life I will always be a fan! The man has the hugest heart in NASCAR. How God fit a heart that big in a normal man I will never know

There are 43 other drivers trying to do the same thing. Can`t win all the time. Gordon and other drivers have their streaks, Stewart will be back.

No!!! And he isn't falling apart, he has just been wrecked a lot and has had some really crappy luck. Most of his bad finishes were not his fault. Smoke will be back.

he just won at daytona and climbed the fence, hung out with the crowd. how short your memory!! he's doing all this with a cracked shoulder, give him a break!! he's just out there racing his butt off with 42 other guys that are also very talented or wouldn't be there and they are all racing for one spot!! can't happen every week!!
