Why is it to white people, i'm black, and to black people i'm white.?

my dad is black and puerto rican, my mom is white. i was raised to be neutral. but i've had alot of white people to refer to me as n*****, and black people say, you're a white girl. i'm olive skinned, and i look puertorican. but i just don't understand it.

because all the little monkeys hate each other. really we are all monkeys and we hate monkeys / that are different , come from other places, and monkeys that look different you see all the monkeys feel alone all six billion of them because we don't want to be monkeys but we are so we hate other monkeys to deify our true monkey nature

This probably bothers you somewhat so I'm going to answer this as a serious question. Try to understand that there are still a lot of insensitive people out there who start running their mouths before engaging their brains. You are probably a very beautiful young lady because black, spanish and anglo genes ussually produce very attractive people. I've lived among Puerto Ricans for over 40 years and I rarely ever see an ugly Puerto Rican girl. So don't worry about people trying to pin a racial label on you. You're parents are probably proud of you, and if you're a good girl in your heart that's all that matters.

I'm the exact same way! I'm Black and Dominican, to most Blacks, I'm just Dominican, to other races, I'm Black. It's as if they can't see that I'm mixed with both! In fact, when people ask what I am I always say, Black/Hispanic (if they don't know what a Dominican is) or Black/Dominican. I feel your pain immensely and it's just so annoying. To me, you are Black/PR/White, you are multiracial and multiethnic, to others you're either Black, Puerto Rican, or White. Some people just can't see that mixed people are just what they are, mixed. Thankfully with all the interracial marriages that have been happening, people are now starting to recognize multiracial/multiethnic people for what we are.

Why cant you just be Puerto Rican? They are just as beautiful as anyone else. Nothing wrong with that. The black/white thing in this country is a problem-on both sides. I am sick of it.

Hay don't try to let the stuff bug you. Make your self happy people can be ignorant that's just the way it is. Don't worry not everyone is like that. Think of it this way you have the best of two world as you get older you'll see a change in the way people are. Hang in there!

People like to put others in neat little category based on their looks and behavior. All you need to understand is that some people are ignorant and should be ignored by you. Don't waste your time with people who can't accept the many shades of you.

I don't get it either. Human is human, no matter what the skin color. I think that black/white mixes have beautiful skin color, though.

I think that people are just ingnorant. And anyway, it doesn't matter what people think about you. They look at you and make an assumption, you will never understand it, so don't even try. Just keep being who you are--a human being!

I don't know what the answer is, I only know what it isn't. Unfortunately they are not color blind. I am white, my lord Jesus was probably black and I don't care. I'm sorry to you that anyone cares what color you are or are not. You are my sister.
