Argon Labs substituted negative muons for electrons in deuterium nuclei. The molecular hydrogenn was bound so closely together, fusion took place at room temperature.
Problem is there is no chain reaction since the muons produced by the fusion don't live long enough to combine and fuse more hydroge.
