I think i'd banish pop these days as it irritates the life out of me.

I think I would banish rave music. It has little tune or proper backing music. You can also barely hear the lyrics and what you can hear is usually racist or misogynistic sexist rubbish.
As for pop, there is good music still left in pop but it is often drowned out by rubbish. If you were to ban anything then I would suggest banning manufactured pop suvh as Pop Idol/The X Factor. The supposed stars of these programmes are usually so controlled and made up that they are just not human, but little dolls designed to make money.

i agree with you about pop, but it isn't the worst genre out there. I personally hate rap --- it isn't even music.... why is it called music if it doesn't have any music in it at all??? But that's just me talking, I'm more into the traditional instrumental music. I know a ton of people may be offended by me not liking rap.

Tough choice...If not all pop music after the early to mid 90's than I'd have to say Happy Hardcore: music for the drug fuel generation. No talent, just fast repative beats. Boring....

All music. It's just sound to the ear and yet the way people drone on about it like they have the right to say which noise is better than this noise. People dress according to what sound they like. People alter their mood, thoughts and vision to attune to a certain type of collective sound. I find it all stupid really.

Dance or rave music, coz it just does my head in it goes on and on and its just the same over and over again, makes you want to throw the stereo out of the window, cant listen to it for more than 30 secs gives me a headache,

yeah I'd get rid of pop as well, but my first choice would have to be hip-hop. I seriously hate it. ooh or dance! the world would be much better without that! or rap!! oh just get rid of all the crap!
