i notice when i'm reading the mangas about the 2.5 years time skip some are still in teams but some aren't.

They still are a team, but some are not TEMPORARILY because they have some other work to do(different from their other teammates) rather than their missions like teaching(Shikamaru is a teacher at the Ninja Academy) so they are not together all the times.

Most of them still are in the same teams except for Naruto's group where Sai takes Sasuke's place. Of course, when they are Chuunin, they have more responsibilities such as Shikamaru who takes on the role of an examiner in the Chuunin exam.

Even some Jounin remain in their cells, such as Neji... I think he secretly likes TenTen like she likes him... all those deep training sessions in the woods -wink wink nudge nudge.- look at the old InoShikaCho for all we know they continued to be on the same team for a long time.

No you are not on teams when you're a genin, you help train future ninjas, and go on harder missions.

no it just got hella boring in there new groups and their missons
