Dear Church,

For the last XXXXX months, I have enjoyed the spiritual journal and benefits of being a member of your church. Thus, it is with great regret that I leave it.

Recent personal difficulties are creating more demands on me. As a result, I cannot give full attention to my church membership, and I feel that I am unable to fully participate. I'm sure this church will continue to grow and prosper.

Yours in Christ,

yyy

Just leave quietly. Too many people leave with letters or speeches truly aimed at justifying their departure and blasting the church. Nothing good comes from that no matter how justified the departer believes it to be. One rule of thumb: Leave a bad church without talking to members or doing anything to hurt the church or anyone in there. Leave right; don't leave wrong. You feel wounded or wronged, leave quietly. For example, if a friend stabs me in the back, tells lies about me to others, I keep my peace and stay silent. Been there; done that. If on the other hand a villainous predator attacks me, I stab his **** with my fingers and *** *** ******* as my other hand crushes his ******. I don't stop until he is down and then I stomp his ******* ** . I will be his worst nightmare. Anything else less than an attempt on my life, I find silence is always the best policy. Don't respond in kind. Be a man of honor. Two women accused my Mom at work and it was all lies. The boss brought her into the office and let the women accuse her. She kept silent. The boss was amazed and asked her if she had anything to say in her defense. She told him she had nothing to say. She was transferred to another department and worked with a peach of a boss. It worked out for her good. Don't worry, those b****s can't help but expose their wickedness to others in time. So leave right; don't leave wrong.

To whom it may concern,

I have come to a cross road in my life. I need to take some time for myself to figure things out. Sometimes we all need to be quiet so we can hear what god is telling us. Right now it is my time and i feel it best to do this on my own. someday i may return but untill then please pray for me and know for me it is enough to be there for me and when you think of me remember
me fondly and pray for me often . I will in turn pray for you and remember you with love God bless you all and thank you for all you done for me
Sincerely (insert your name)

you'd probably be better to talk to them (pastor/minister) rather than write a letter.
