Sibling rivalry:
5 And Abraham was a hundred years old, when his son Isaac was born unto him.
6 ¶ And Sarah said, God hath made me to laugh, so that all that hear will laugh with me.
9 ¶ And Sarah saw the son of Hagar the Egyptian, which she had home unto Abraham, mocking.
10 Wherefore she said unto Abraham, Cast out this bondwoman and her son; for the son of this bondwoman shall not be heir with my son, even with Isaac.
11 And the thing was very grievous in Abraham's sight.
12 ¶ And God said unto Abraham, Let it not be grievous in thy sight; in all that Sarah hath said unto thee, hearken unto her voice; for in Isaac shall thy seed be called.
13 And also of the son of the bondwoman will I make a nation, because he is thy seed.
14 And Abraham rose up early in the morning, and took bread, and a bottle of water, and gave it unto Hagar, putting it on her shoulder, and the child, and sent her away; and she departed, and wandered in the wilderness of Beer-sheba.
15 And the water was spent in the bottle, and she cast the child under one of the shrubs.
17 And she went, and sat her down over against him a good way off: for she said, let me not see the death of the child. And she lifted up her voice, and wept.
17 And God heard the voice of the lad; and the angel of God called to Hagar out of heaven, and said unto her, What aileth thee, Hagar? fear not, for God hath heard the voice of the lad where he is.
18 Arise, lift up the lad, and bold him in thine hand: for I will make him a great nation.
19 And God opened her eyes, and she saw a well of water: and she went, and filled the bottle with water, and gave the lad drink.
20 And God was with the lad; and he grew, and dwelt in the wilderness, and became an archer.
21 And he dwelt in the wilderness of Paran: and his mother took him a wife out of the land of Egypt.
Peace and love

In Biblical times there were two Jewish kingdoms - Israel and Judah.
After the Romans conquered the Jews those two kingdoms were dissolved and the moslem arabs eventually claimed the land.
After the end of WW-II (it was in all the papers) the Zionist movement resolved to reclaim the land known as Palestine and create a new State of Israel.
Most of the world's Jews did not live there and massive Jewish immigration to British Palestine was begun.
If your immediate ancestors lived in Palestine you, also, would be a bit P-O'ed if newcomers moved in and took over all your land.
Another reason was the result of the Nazi Holocaust - the other countries of the world felt guilty for not doing more to keep it from happening.

Hezbollah kidnapped two Israel soldiers to get Israel to negotiate the release of Arab prisoner in Israeli jails ( there are thousands who've been there for yrs and no one knows there fate). There has been numerous times to find a solution for these prisoners but failed. Israel took that move as an act of war and started punishing the whole country of Lebanon by striking it mercilessly.

It started in 1948 when the U.N. established Israel. Since that time, on and off, every Muslim country in the Middle East has been trying to exterminate the Jews. They don't even recognize their right to exist. Every country in the Middle East, at one time or another, has invaded Israel. Now Syria and Iran finance and supply Hamas and Hezbollah. Syria houses and shields Hamas, while Lebanon houses and shields Hezbollah.
It revolves around religious intolerance, so it cannot be stopped with diplomacy, logic, or reason.

Normal sectarian hatred started it. People, especially religious people, love to start quarrels and pick fights with each other. It's gang thinking with a thin icing of righteousness.
The present conflict became more or less inevitable with the murder of Yitzak Rabin (by a fundamentalist Jew) and the death of Yassir Arafat.

the us, britain, france and russia sitting down and setting down their own laws saying that the jews would be given their own homeland in the middle east exactly where palestine was. the arab world didnt like this because they saw it as a bunch of christians and jews coming in to take away their religion (a new crusade, as it were) and promised to destroy israel. so, basically, its our fault, in part. blame the west and russia, but the arab world did attack israel first. not this time around, though, that was definitely israel's fault, and they have absolutely no business going after civilian targets in palestine and lebannon.

Sibling rivalry. The Patriarch Jacob had two sons Ishmael and Isaac.
Ishmael is the 'father' of the Arabs.
Isaac is the 'father' of the Jews.

people there like to fight. for thousands of years they have killed each other over who could drink from a well.
killing is ingrained in the culture and pouring oil money into that area just adds fuel to an already burning fire.there is no solution to the middle east's troubles.
