If you take the USA out of this question the answer is still the same. Of course those groups/countries can't defeat Israel!
God is on Israel's side, for starters. That much should be obvious by how amazing Israel's military success has always been in the modern age.
If you add the US to their side as well, well . .
let's put it this way, Hezbollah is gonna be very sorry (they probably already are) that they attacked Israel and kidnapped their soldiers! They are gonna be BEGGING to give them back!

I think every one in the MidEast hates Isreal, and I think there are factions in the MidEast that hate the US. But ultimately, the ruling powers are better off as US allies. It is an age of economics, and as long as Americans are paying a premium for oil, and keeping those sheiks in their guilded castles, no mideast country is gonna throw down with the US.They might preen and bark, but at the end of the day, the Arabs love our oil money more than they hate the Jews.

Wayne, When you talk about taking us (the U.S.) "out of the question" do you also mean all the U.S. military and financial aid Israel receives? If that's the case do you really still like Israels chances and for how long?
