Well I'm Jewish and I don't see supporting the indigenous people of Palestine as irrational, anti-semitic or a directly result of distain for George Bush. People have had opposing views on the subject well before Bush came into office.
Therefore the sweeping assumed relationship between anti-Bush sentiments and non-support of the Israeli gov't is illogical and a little hysterical too.
At the same time I still hold instigators of violence accountable for their actions.

well first off.. yes, Hezbollah and Hamas have Israeli prisoners, but how many Palestinian prisoners does Israel have? And what weapons are the Palestinians using: rocks? I'm not anti-semetic or a bush hater, but I can see through the lies the media feeds us. Israel is the only country in the world that receives unconditional funding from the US, they have the tankers and are killing more children then Hezbollah and Hamas are killing. Israel should leave Lebanon. Why are they there to begin with? Isn't the Palestinians occupied land enough for them? I guess greed breeds greed.

The Israelis and most of our media are lying as usual.
But here's the truth people :)
"basically the current stage of what's going on -- there's a lot more -- begins with the Hamas election, back the end of January. Israel and the United States at once announced that they were going to punish the people of Palestine for voting the wrong way in a free election. And the punishment has been severe.
At the same time, it's partly in Gaza, and sort of hidden in a way, but even more extreme in the West Bank, where Olmert announced his annexation program, what’s euphemistically called “convergence” and described here often as a “withdrawal,” but in fact it’s a formalization of the program of annexing the valuable lands, most of the resources, including water, of the West Bank and cantonizing the rest and imprisoning it, since he also announced that Israel would take over the Jordan Valley. Well, that proceeds without extreme violence or nothing much said about it.
Gaza, itself, the latest phase, began on June 24. It was when Israel abducted two Gaza civilians, a doctor and his brother. We don't know their names. You don’t know the names of victims. They were taken to Israel, presumably, and nobody knows their fate. The next day, something happened, which we do know about, a lot. Militants in Gaza, probably Islamic Jihad, abducted an Israeli soldier across the border. That’s Corporal Gilad Shalit. And that's well known; first abduction is not. Then followed the escalation of Israeli attacks on Gaza, which I don’t have to repeat. It’s reported on adequately.
The next stage was Hezbollah's abduction of two Israeli soldiers, they say on the border. Their official reason for this is that they are aiming for prisoner release. There are a few, nobody knows how many. Officially, there are three Lebanese prisoners in Israel. There's allegedly a couple hundred people missing. Who knows where they are?
But the real reason, I think it's generally agreed by analysts, is that -- I’ll read from the Financial Times, which happens to be right in front of me. “The timing and scale of its attack suggest it was partly intended to reduce the pressure on Palestinians by forcing Israel to fight on two fronts simultaneously.” David Hearst, who knows this area well, describes it, I think this morning, as a display of solidarity with suffering people, the clinching impulse."

When the American people stop their government from sending a total of $90 Billion of their taxes to Israel to support their barbaric acts then the fighting will stop.

And also when the American people stop their governments from vetoing any chance of a peaceful settlement, then maybe there will be an agreement.

My problem with Israel stems from the constant ignoring of international laws, and the fact they are a nation that was created by the use of terrorism and their response to similar terrorism aimed at them is usually above and beyond the scope of what humanity should allow.
Israeli forces have killed more civilians than all the terrorist attacks combined. And it is important to note that before 9-11 the single largest terrorist attack in world history was perpetrated by Jewish nationalist against the British in the middle east and those Jewish nationalist ended up as the leaders of Israel.
I have no problems with Israel protecting their nations rights, so long as they do not trample on the rights of others. And not to mention that Israel is no better in terms of treatment of non-Jewish people than an Islamic country is with the treatment of non-Muslim people. Every nation in the Middle East should be left on their own with no aid until they learn to treat all humans with dignity.

a million. Israel agitates and provokes the Hamas leaders, alongside with assasinating them in Dubai using good British passports to conceal their genuine identities. 2. Hamas has a conflict for freedom and that they could desire to maintain their circulation alive and how they do this as a results of fact they are under siege is via firing rockets into Israel. those rockets are no longer centred, they fall the place they could yet they dont have to any extent further progressed weapons like the IDF. 3. all of us be conscious of roughly Shalit yet you're conscious of the ten,000 prisoners in Israeli reformatory which comprise women human beings and young ones. 4. Israeli commandoes jumped onto the Turkish deliver and attacked and killed 9 help workers. that is all on video tape. the help workers did no longer attempt to kill Israelis. The Israeli infantrymen had no reason to kill the Turks. you're no longer a democracy. you're a theocracy, dictated to via the Sha-as social gathering crazies, you're supported in basic terms via American and English Christian fundamentalists and Republicans. Iran isn't your enemy yet you're making them the villains with a view to get $3 billion in help from the U.S. which we can't take care of to pay for. you are able to't be inhumane and oppress maximum of human beings, incredibly in Gaza. you will end the rocket assaults once you provide the Palestinians self-determination and supply them an self sustaining state, extremely than getting the U.S. to dam a destiny state on the U.N. Israel holds each and every of the enjoying cards, they have each and every of the capability. Israel is a tiny u . s . attempting to act like an imperial capability.

It's an extension of the emotional, irrational hatred of George Bush. Since he likes Israel, all the Bush-haters hate Israel.
That, and most of the world is anti-Semitic.

I don't get it either. I think the reason is that Bush supports them. If Kerry, or Gore, or Clinton were in office supporting them, Israel would receive far less criticism. Sad, isn't it?

Because they are way out of line by attacking Lebanon over a few missing soldiers, they are just using their disappearance as an excuse to attack.
