We know the birth mothers first and last name, town she lived in and possible town the child would have been born in.

start with county birth records for the county she was in at the time of birth. online searches are easy, but having to go in to search by hand is time consuming.

go to www.ancestry.com, then click on search
you put in the first or last name you think the person has
then you put in the year of birth to narrow it down

try the court house vital records

there are several registries in the u.s. that help connect children with their birthparents, and vise-versa, my 1st child located me through one. i can't recall the names of them, go on-line and check it out. and best of luck!!
