In Texas, I have heard:

I used to make foil dinners when I lived in Vegas and slow cook them on my dashboard for late lunches. It gets THAT hot inside cars there.

Other than just 'it's hot', I've heard 'sweltering' and 'an oven outside'. I live in Hotlanta.

In Hungary they say it is "kánikula" from Latin "tongue of dog" , but we also say it's "banana-riping hot" or "pants-rotting hot".
