Me.
I cannot sleep, not because I am not tired, but because my mind won't shut it off. And Ambien, Lunestra, Tylenol PM, 2 hyrdrocodiene and a valium chaser don't work. That is insomnia.

Anybody who has long-term trouble getting to fall asleep, trouble staying asleep, waking up multiple times during the night, waking up too early in the morning, or a combination of some or all of the aforementioned. An example? ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It is an individual who is not capable of sleeping.... They find it very difficult to sleep at night and have to resort to sleeping aids of some type.. It can develop into a more serious situation if not corrected.
