Rosie and Jim!

Loved the ever so predictable beginning where John (and his beard) got his trusty black marker pen and his little sketch pad and drew out where he were to travel and then left it out on display (probably in the hope that some other human would find it and would try to convince him to seek medical attention) only for Rosie and Jim to find it and muse over what they would get up to.

Oh at that poor talking duck - super-glued to the hood of the boat. Animal cruelty. I don't know about you but if i had a wooden-talking duck, i would not take some duck-tape (BOOM BOOM) and stick it to the outside of my boat as i have a feeling it may get the NSPCA sniffing around.

Ahh childhood memories!

Flipping heck Buggerlugs, Follyfoot? Now I feel REALLY old! Best children's tv EVER, apart from old Sooty, are Camberwick Green, Trumpton, Chigley and The Famous Five! Bring em back I say. The one on Southern TV in the late seventies, that is.

Can't beat Captain Pugwash with great characters like Master Bates and Seaman Stains.

The old Captain kangaroo! None of the new stuff. Although I have seen a claymation movie about Mark Twain that did not insult kids. (I saw it on TV.) The characters rode around in a hot-air balloon.
