Suffer. He hehe, I was in the same boat with both of mine, or them pushing their feet out so hard on my belly that you could see their heels and toes. For the ribs, I just either rolled onto my other side, or, I would push on their feet and scrunch up the side that they were using as a foot rest, so it was more difficult for them to get them to stay up in my rib. One other thing I did, more to spite my daughter, as long as you are not high risk or anything, was activity. Especially in my last week. The doctor said the best natural induction of labor was sex, so me and my husband at the time had some fun, and I jumped around the yard (even with sargeants laughing at me next door) and took a shot at a summersault (didn't repeat that attempt, though). But if you are high risk, don't do any of that, it might cause problems for you or the baby. You are almost there, you can do it. Good luck!!

I know exxactly what you are going through! I am also 39 weeks (well 38 and 6/7) and my little girl is currently under there pushing with her feet. The thing I do is find her little "butt bump" and massage it. She calms down and then no more pain!We don't have much furtherr so keep that in mind! Good luck with your little boy! THey are so much fun!

After having 3 children, my youngest is 2 months, There is no way. There is a magic target that only they see. One is on your bladder, which they use as their personal pillow, and the other is on your ribs. Which they use to put their feet on for leverage to push further into their pillow, only at the time that you have a full bladder and there is not bathroom in site. WELCOME to MOTHERHOOD, the pregnancy is the easiest part........

Relax, keep ur feet up, lay on your side...........the baby will be out before u know it and then when he starts all of the crying and not sleeping you'll be wishing he was kicking those ribs.

i used the palm of my hand just under my ribs to push the baby's feet out of the way. it sucks cause you have to hold your hand there and keep the pressure on, but it does bring some temporary relief! good luck and remember it will all be over soon (and there will be many times you'll wish your baby was back inside!!!!)

I used to just lie down on the other side, that tends to float the baby the other way, to give that side a rest.
But really, there is very little you can do about that.
Welcome to the reality of motherhood. Our children cause us all sorts of pain and discomfort for their whole lives. They don't want to, it's just part of life, and we did it to our mothers, too.
On the other hand, nothing is more rewarding and valuable to a woman than the unconditional love we get from our babies.

Drink some apple juice, the little fellow will start moving around and hopefully settle in a more comfortable position for you.

Awwww, I"m sorry about your discomfort! My daughter was sitting on my tailbone before she popped out into the world. I tell you, it was incredibly uncomforatable, I know! I tried everything to get her to move out of there, but she was there to stay until it was time! I read someone suggesting drinking cold water! Try it! But your baby may just like it where he is! Best wishes on your new baby!
