The highest heat index in Northwest Ohio generally gets to about 115 degrees when the air temp is in the mid to high 90's and the humidity approaches 70-80 percent. The lowest wind-chill numbers get to around -30 degrees. When the temperature in this are gets very low (-10 or so) there is generally very little wind.

Lincoln, Nebraska (at 6pm on Sunday 16, 2006) is 102 F with a heat index of 104 F!!!!! Yikes!!!!! I'm not sure what the all time record heat index is, but the all time record high temperature is 115 F (occurred July 25, 1936)!

The record low temperature is -33 F, and I've experienced a wind chill of about -50 F. However, I'm not sure what the all time low wind chill is for this location.

Temperature of 115 with a heat index of 122 is the highest. The lowest was 18 below zero with a chill factor of negative 40. This was in western OK.
