I'd like to learn how to blow glass and make things like sinks and bowls (I don't know the first thing about it) and how to turn scraps of metal into those fake metal trees they put in front of libraries and fire stations and places like that because I would like to make some for my house and to sell to people. I paint and do other arts so the creativity is there, I just need to learn how. Im in Arizona if anyone knows of any schools or classes.

not books, since these sound somewhat dangerous, I'd rather have someone actually show me that knows what they are doing. Where can I take classes for these?

Good grief! Most people just want to learn to macrame! You want to blow glass and make metal trees?
I'd start searching the internet. Or you could call your local community college and see what kind of classes they offer. You might be surprised; they often offer a great variety of unusual classes.

Contact your local hobby craft store like Micheal's or AC Moore and ask them. They usually know all the local studios and such. There are lots of stained glass studios but I don't know of many glass blowing studios. You may have to drive a ways and pay for the classes. Also don't forget to check your yellow pages under glass. You just never know.

Try local community colleges in your area or you can go to your local craft store where they sometimes offer classes and books about the subjects you are interested in.
