Hard to say.May hae just washed his hands returning from restroom to smell the antibacterial soap.Where would your hands fingers have been in a similar situation?

he was probably eating jello that they had given him on the plane, and they didn't give him a utensil, so he had to use his fingers, and then afterwards, he realized when he smelled his fingers that it wasn't jello, but cocktail sauce, and he had made a big mistake.
