Also is black or brown a better color for someone with pale skin?

I recommend Mary Kay mascara- it's really defining and thickening, although a little pricey, but it's worth it! Also, a browner color is better for pale skin, just because the contrast isn't as noticeable. Black can look too harsh on pale skin. Also with mascara it really thickens lashes if you start at the base and slowly wiggle up-it also prevents clumping. hope this helps!

Dior Runway Mascara is pretty good and it's about $20. For something a little cheaper I'm into Remmial Volume Lash.

I love, love, LOVE Mary Kay's Ultimate Mascara. I would try the black brown because it's softer than black and more bold than just a basic brown.

clinique has an awesome mascara combo... a white primer that you put on first, and then put the black mascara on top. i think some of the grocery store brands recently came out with similar products -- they work great.
