What are some social concepts in the movie John Q?

I have watched the movie three times in the past week.
I have a paper due, and I need to identify 5 social concepts, and then apply them to the movie. I already have three.

I am looking for exact terminology, as in Ideology, deviance and role strain.

I have read the textbook, and we are not allowed to use certain terms such as discrimination and racism.

Can anyone help me?
Serious replies only please. I do not have the time nor energy for childhood games.

well, there's possible class discrimination. The main character didn't have the proper HMO because he couldn't afford it, so his son got screwed. You can go into how a man's social standing as determined by salary wages and other socio-economic factors, and how they will determine how far he can go, and possibly his kids too.
