What are some social concepts in the movie John Q?
I have watched the movie three times in the past week.
I have a paper due, and I need to identify 5 social concepts, and then apply them to the movie. I already have three.
I am looking for exact terminology, as in Ideology, deviance and role strain.
I have read the textbook, and we are not allowed to use certain terms such as discrimination and racism.
Can anyone help me?

This is the concept of limited resources and competing priorities. The character had health insurance, but his health insurance company would not pay for the specific operation his son needed which would save his life. The question comes to how much is a human life valued at and whose life is valued more? You may want to review some philosophical writings about these concepts I identified above.
