A tent???? Are you serious??? I'll have you know my skin crawls just thinking of the unwashed peasants that reside in such a lair.
It's the tour bus or nearest Presidential Suite for me I'm afraid.

Last summer..lately i think to myself..the last half of your life might be better if you concentrated on being outdoors again..tossing everything and learning to live basically again..however much this is an unrealistic view it appeals to me in contrast to day in day out working toward "the home".
There was a canadian filmaker Jutra who came to a similar realization at my age I think..but he may have just been losing his marbles..he ended up dead on a St. Lawrence riverbank. I still want very much to live so i guess I'd better plan.
This goes way beyond what your question asks but you seem very intelligent..I can't resist!
Camping I cautiously say is still fun..not the rain, cold and bugs though.

The July 4th weekend in 1995 at Lake Don Pedro, California with someone special at that time. The fireworks show from the boats was terrific too!

never. have used tents as a place to store stuff while running around all night drinking beer at festivals on many occasions, but never actually slept in one.

Last May. I was attending a geocaching event, and we stayed the night for another event the next day. I will have to admit that I slept very well that night, despite the insane voices going on outside. :-)

At a party a while ago.
Tents are great, I always sleep well in them. There are several possible reasons...
1) Just staggered out of a party and I could sleep anywhere!
2) Been stomping up mountains all day and can barely stand
3) Loads of ventilation

Four times last year.......and we are going for a five day tent adventure here in N.E. GA beginning this Wednesday

um never, though when i was 14 i was meant to.....
it was my birthday and my uncle had lent me a tent (OOH POET!) to sleep in my parents garden as could have more friends to stay thay way (poet again!lol) but my mate got scared as lots of earwigs got into tent and it didnt help that it was put up on top of ants nests!!
we crept into the house only to find my mum and dad still up watching tv! they took the mickey i can tell ya!
