Well from my experience this is what i can say about your problem.
Get it into a good auto shop ASAP.

with this link you can find shops recomended by people in your zip code, or at least close to.
Since it seems you have to drive on the highway. do a constant speed(speed limit, or close to it). try to avoid revving the motor up needlessly(which means speeding up needlessly too), because it causes the motor to work harder than it already is, thus producing more heat which it cant deal with.
Also you can drive with the heat on, or at least with the temperature control on hot.(hope that made sense) i know this sounds miserable, and thats because it is. But you poor car needs all the help it can get since its not keeping antifreeze/coolant in it(keep adding antifreeze/coolant until you get it fixed). Driving with the heat on will help the car cool itself more than it currently is doing, or not doing. While you are doing this it isnt neccesary to turn the fan on.
SO... you dont need to drive really slow, just be extra nice to your car since it is trying to kill itself.(dont drive with the gas pedal mashed to floor.)
Turn your heat on.(it will only suck for a while, then youll get your car fixed)
GET IT TO A GOOD SHOP. most of the places you find with that link, will not take advantage of your gender, or lack of car knowledge.
Hope i helped, you can email me if you have more ?'s
Good Luck :-)

wher is it leaking out at? Onto the ground or is it just gettting low all the time with no puddle? Let the car cool down and then put a good size peice of cardboard under the front end. Start the car and let it run until it warms up ( be carefull to wath your guage so it doesnt overheat). Turn the car off and let it sit for about an hour, checking the cardboard for wet spots when you shut it off and about every 20 mins after. If the leak getting the cardboard wet then it is probably not a major problem.

jeff s seems to be right again. The radiator may have built up enough grunge inside it that the water can no longer pass through it to have the heat removed from it. I mention this because this is sometimes a chicken or the egg question. in other words these problems often accompany and aggravate each other. Bad head gasket/pluged up radiator. When one happens it is always a good idea to have the other checked. No need to have to fix a problem twice!

It's leaking or your burning it because the engine is drawing it through a bad head gasket or crack in the head. Best to take it to the shop ASAP before the engine gets ruined.

When you see you loose water, that is why the engine is overheating, so fix the water leak first
