How do I set up xbox live?

I'm thinking of getting a new X360 and want to know what I would need and what I would need to do to set up xbox live.

to set exbox live u need to connect a land line to the back of the xbox to actaly play online u need high speeed internet or u wont be able to play
after u have high speed internet u need to buy an live card u can buy this at wall mart or any store like k-mart , target then once u have the card set a new acc for live then get on and play \
