Can't listen, can't afford to pay the cable bill or the electric. Hell, I won't have the house I bought pretty soon, ready for foreclosure. Bought it in Clinton's era, with only my husband working. Now he's working 2 jobs and so am I, and we're losing it all. Great job, Georgie. Sorry I missed your speech........some of us work for a living even if that "living" doesn't amount to much thanks to you.

Great economic news? What, does see about paying off the debt his Presidency has accumulating? Does he see, at the end of tunnel, the disparity of income between the rich and poor in America leveling off? Does he see Americans living with well paying jobs with benefits returning to America. Does he see more citizens of America able to send their children to a four year college education and credentialing program? Does he see Universal Health Care like in Germany or Canada finally provided to all Americans? Does he see to the end of all homeless Combat Veterans neglect? Does he have the slightest idea of the suffering that goes on daily inside the boundaries of United States because Americans are not supported, assisted or even encouraged by example to live within their means? Does he? Any of these would be "Great Economic News!"

Expand your mind a bit and stop believing everything the world's greatest liar is saying. Before you start saying I hate all Christians, I am one. Before you start saying I hate conservatives I don't. The neo-cons are a separate group of morons who are destroying everything that made America great and just because they keep mentioning Jesus and God doesn't make them any more holy then anyone else. Read more different opinions on both sides the right and the left. Do not follow either party blindly and perhaps we can get this country back on track again. I don't care who you vote for just vote and be as informed as you can be.

Bush is a jackass.
And the "great" economic news he announced was his second choice that day. His first choice was to trumpet the job growth numbers that came out that morning...but since the growth fell about 80 thousand jobs short of his projections, and 30 thousand jobs short of what's needed monthly just to stay even with population growth, he chose instead to dummy up some other numbers and talk about them.
That's why nobody was listening. Because it was all bullshit and even his supporters knew it.

His figures are flawed, they are bent like votes to make him look good. All you have to do is open your paper to the classified section and look and see how many job openings there are to know that there are no jobs. The unemployment figures are from those that are drawing it, people that have run out are not counted. His figures on the deficit just shows that we are not going into debt as far as was predicted. We are still running up a huge debt. Remember Clinton left him with a surplus. So he or none of his idiot followers that will repeat this piece of work know wtf that they are talking about.

I saw it, it was hard to argue with the numbers. Trouble is I am not sure if it was his economic policies or the spike in prices that caused the deficit to go down. He has 2 more years, I'll be impressed if a surplus rears up but II'll give him the benifit of the doubt. But I can say I am not better oFF.

Oh hell no I can't stand it anymore , I am going to have to get on Valium if I listen to that idiot of a so called President lie anymore. The only reason he is still around is the fact that Democrats know he isn't worth sitting in prison over.

I was better off six years ago to be honest.
I don't live in the US, but my finances were screwed by our own government here in Canada ... it is not only Bush that lies to the public.

Dems only found ways to criticize something else. If it was Clinton, the U.S. would never be better off than it is now. Amazing interpretation.
