If you are talking about a shop bought one then check the information on the packet as not all of them work that early.
But if you get on done at a clinic I'm pretty sure they can tell straight away.

yes, but no earlier than about 4-5 days before you expect your period. First Response can detect the lowest level of the pregnancy hormone out of the majority of hpts and says you can test 5 days before you expect your period. If you get a negative, though, wait a few more days and test again, if you still haven't gotten your period. Also, test with your first morning urine because it has the highest concentration of the pregnancy hormone. If you get a negative the fist time and continue to get negatives and haven't started your period, call your doctor and have a blood test done if you can as the pregnancy hormone can take longer to show up for some women in urine tests (a blood test should be able to detect it by about 8-10 days post ovulation).

Yes. There are pregnancy tests that can test positive up to four days before your period is due. A comparison of brands can be found at this site: http://www.babyhopes.com/pregnancy-test-sensitivity.html.

Some tests let you test before a missed period check on the back of the box. Tests are expensive so I would wait to see if you are having any other symptoms until you tests

Yes, any cvs, walmart, or walgreens has a test called "EPT"
"early pregnancy test". That test can tell if your pregnant up to 4-5 days BEFORE a missed period!! Good luck.

Yes.Most tests can detect the HCG hormone(in pregnent women) up to 5 days before their period was due. However, tests vary and so do women.Try the test and if it shows up negative, take another about a week later.False negatives sometimes occur, however, false positives rarley occur.Anyways, give it a try.Good luck either way!!

Yes, I took both of mine before my periods, and they were accurate, but the earlier you take it, the less reliable it is. Your best bet, if you take one now and it says no, still take another one after it should have started. Sometimes the home tests are duds, too, and if you really think you are pregnant, and the test says no, go to the doctor so they can do a more accurate HgB test, or whatever it is to check the hormorne level.

you can use the OTC pregnancy tests as early as the first missed period. using the pregnancy tests before that or very late may cause false negative results.

Yes, but if you get a negative, wait until you have missed and take again. With my second I took a test the day before my period and it was negative, I waited a week later when I was a week late and it was positve, gl!
