35 weeks is only 1 week short of 9 months, the regular term for pregnancy...
I wouldn't be too worried. Children being born a month early isn't something to be overly worried about, myself and my siblings were all born a few weeks early and we're fine.

my son was born PERFECT at 36 weeks exactly. He was 7 pounds spent 3 days in the hospital. The problem with early birth is mostly lung development and the baby not being able to control his/her body temp because they are small. Also pre mature babies can have blood sugar problem they are not really ready 4 life outside mom till after 37 weeks. Some babies have been born late into the 20th week and lived but, not always problem free. If your water should break now or labor could not be stoped your baby has a GREAT chance of having no problems. It's NEVER worth the risk to induse pregnancy early unless there is a problem with the baby making it worse for him/she to stay inside. Anyway if your happen to have the baby now you should feel pretty good that everything will be fine and maybe he/she might have a few extra nights in the hospital but, it's not ery dangrous at all at this point.

A baby is not ready to live outside the womb safely until 37 weeks. If you were to have the baby at 35weeks then it would be considered a preterm baby. The only good thing is that you are close to the 37 weeks so if the baby would be under weight then it shouldnt take to long for the baby to be ready to come home. The only thing is that your baby may still not have devolped the lungs and other organs complelty. I dont think it would be good, but I also think that there is a better chance your baby is ok, just because you are so close to being able to have the baby saftly

Well, I would say that if by chance you went into early labor that was not in your control, that your baby would have a really good chance. Now hopefully you are not thinking about inducing yourself or asking your doctor to do so. I know 5 weeks feels like forever but that time is so important to insure the development of the baby's lungs. I do understand how you feel being ready for it to be over..my second baby was 2 weeks late and 10 pounds lol But its so important to give as much of a fighting chance to your baby. GL!

full-term is considered 37 weeks, so 35 shouldn't put your baby at too much of a higher risk (of course, I'm not a dr.). Of course, it's preferable that babies stay in the womb for as close to 40 weeks as possible if it's a healthy pregnancy. The biggest risk your baby would probably have if you were to deliver now would be immature lungs. There are chemicals that your dr. can give you if you were to deliver now (assuming it's not an emergency situation) if he/she doesn't think your baby's lungs are fully developed.

It can be dangerous, because sometimes the lungs may not be fully developed. If you or you doc think you are going into labor they should do a test to make sure the lungs are developed. Sometimes the will give you something to make them develop. Good Luck. Most babies are fine at 35 weeks and fully developed.

It can be dependant on if there are any underlying problems. It's really something that needs to be discussed with your doctor. But my daughter was born at 32 weeks, and although she spent 5 weeks in the hospital, she's a healthy 3 year old now.

You should talk to a doctor, but lots of women give birth at 35 weeks with no problem. If you are worried you should talk to your doctor ( I hope you are seeing one)

36 Weeks is considered full term, so it shouldn't be a problem. Congrats and good luck!
