After having a kid, a woman started to gain belly fat, what can she do to downsize it or what kind of workout should she be doing so she can keep her abs down to her normal size? It's been almost a year now and she can make it go away.

Leg lifts, scissor kicks, and crunches if you have access to an incline bench do the crunches on and incline. If you do not have access to an incline bench hold weights in your hands as you do the crunch motion. Don't do sit ups they have a resting point. You don't want to let your abs rest. Except at the end of each set for about 30 seconds then on to next set. Honestly less is more I do 3 sets of 20 on crunches, leg lifts and scissor kicks I do them every day. Aerobic exercise is key to do like an hour a day. I know its hard with kids but aerobics boost your metabolism. Which helps burn that stubborn belly fat. Walking is the best thing. Some one recommended a fat burner supplement those are usually protein. if you are not working out HARD that will pack more weight on. Hard meaning body building.

Probably the best workout is to start walking -- brisk walks (3-4mph) if possible, starting with a couple of miles, three days a week and then working up to five days. Mix in some aerobics, like 30-40 min 2 days a week; and also some work with free weights for about 30 min 2 days a week. There's no such thing as "spot exercises" ie doing tons of reps on sit-ups won't really affect the fat on top of the ab muscles.

cut down on carbs, increase protein intake, and lots of cardio. also have 5-6 meals thru the day. the meals should be smaller then your normal 3 meals you are used to. cut down on sugars and drink lots of water. a fat burner supplement may also help. good luck!
