Syria has less oil?

In the long run it's probably not good that Ba'ath is OK in Syria. However, Syria did not violate UN resolutions with regard to Gulf War one.
I guess that's the difference.

If Syria doesn't stop screwing with the middle east and stop supplying terrorists, the Ba'ath Party may get ousted like Iraq's was ousted.

The bath party was headed by Saddam Hussein who was terrorizing the people of Iraq and using MD and murdering thousands. It wasn't working so well in Iraq in the general public view.
