we are driving to my inlaws and wish to take a viking gas range in the back of or suv, can we safely lie it on its side to accomplish this?

YEs..... but donr't ship a fridge that way.

Yeh... just remove all the removables and if you're using a portable gas bottle 20 lb or 25 lb disconnect it. Don't transport that on it's side. Lay some thing on the cab floor to protect from scratches.

Yes. This will be fine. But be sure to remove the loose parts like the grates and the grills and box those up separately.

Yes you can. There is no harm in that.

HOWEVER, if it uses an electric glow coil for ignition, you have to be very careful not to shake it too much. I can break like fragils glass.
